Biafra: "Ikonso’s killing is what triggered the wave of attacks on police stations by Unknown Gunmen" - Reno Omokri

/ by Idris Bashir

Reno Omokri, Popular Nigerian social commentator has reacted to the Continued killing of Police officers and attacking of Police station in southeast.

In a recent post on his Facebook page, the Author blamed the Federal Government for deploying soldiers to Orlu to kill IPOB's ESN commander, Ikonso. Adding that the murder of the freedom fighter triggered the non-stop uprising in the region.

Reno Omokri wrote: "How did Boko Haram get radicalised? Was it not because the police killed Mohammed Yusuf? When you kill a leader of a people fighting a cause, you make the problem worse, because without that leader, there is no one to call the boys to order. It is like destroying the head of a tap. Water will keep gushing out uncontrollably because you have no head to turn it off. Please verify this: The organised killing of policemen in the Southeast did not start until the army first invaded Orlu  in February, and stayed there until they killed Ikonso in April. Ikonso’s killing is what triggered the wave of attacks on police stations by so called Unknown Gunmen (UGM). Did Buhari learn nothing from the Boko crisis? We are already dealing with one battle. Opening up another front in the Southeast is very foolhardy
