Men of the Nigerian Army force has reportedly blocked the main head bridge which is one of the leading way to the South East of Nigeria.

In a viral video making rounds on social media shows the moment travellers were stranded as there was no vehicular or foot movement as at this very moment, 28 May, 2021.

According to report gathered by Gbam Tv, this happened after unknown gunmen raided soldiers at Ihiala LGA, Anambra State, killing at least six.

Currently, the whole of Southeast is occupied by the Nigerian security operatives ahead of the scheduled sit-at-home slated for 30/31 of May 2021.

The commander of Eastern security Network (ESN and Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had issued warning over the proposed Heroes Day. He said there should be total lock down of markets, business places, schools and movement of both vehicles and pedestrians.

Speaking to Gbam Tv correspondent, some residence of Owerri, Aba, Enugu, Ontisha and Evirons has confirmed that the order will be obeyed.

"The Nigerian police and army are everywhere killing and abducting our people in the East. That is the more reason we must stay at home and be safe," Residence told Gbam Tv.

Another person said the government and her military has even helped in facilitating the sit at home order given by the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra.

"Even if no one had interest in sitting at home on that day, the rate of military presence alone had inflicted fear on many people which will leave them with no other option than to join the observation," Chinyere added.
