Ohanaeze said the mass capture is going on in Ohaji and Oguta Communities of Imo State by military faculty accepted to be from 34 Artillery Brigade, Owerri.
The captured young people were claimed to be individuals from Eastern Security Network, ESN, as indicated by the apex Igbo group.
Ohanaeze asked why the military were capturing Igbo young people who bear no arms and permit Fulani herders to move around with AK 47 riffles.
Professor George Obiozor drove Ohanaeze in an articulation endorsed by its representative, Alex Ogbonnia said: "The consideration of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has been attracted to progressing enormous captures of Igbo young people by the Nigerian Army.
The report shows that "the military staff, suspected to be driven by the 34 Artillery Brigade, Owerri since Sunday have been capturing male inhabitants and young people, especially in Oguta and Ohaji people group and clasping them into vans and taken to obscure objections".
"The report adds that the military are "caught up with, doing strikes, circumspect hunts and captures of adolescents and occupants who are suspected to be connected to the Indigenous People of Biafra and its security arm, the Eastern Security Network".
"For the aversion of uncertainty, Ohanaeze Ndigbo drove by Prof. George Obiozor is unequivocal about the utilization of guns by unapproved people, bodies or gatherings. Majority rules system, everywhere on the world vests the total expert for the authentic utilization of power in government. We had advised that the select extravagance of AK 47 to the Fulani herders as solicited by Governor Bala Mohammed is contradictory to the ethos of a fair society.
"For the military to capture the Igbo young people without proof of arms, methods for brutality or wrongdoing is apprehensive, unrefined and for the most part unsatisfactory to Ohanaeze Ndigbo. It negates each feeling of common equity and privileges of citizenship for the military to attack some Igbo people group looking for adolescents; the vast majority of whom are splendid college graduates whose general public has kept business and sense from getting having a place. This is adding salt to rotting injury.
"We censure wrongdoing independent of the source. Then again, we remain on a firm wicket that it is savage to capture any Igbo in the pretense of enrollment of a fear monger association except if there is adequate proof of wrongdoing or unlawful ownership of guns.
"We approach the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru to direly stop the influx of captures before it offers catalyst to the proposition by the United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to offer refuge to individual who effectively and straightforwardly upholds IPOB and prone to be in danger of capture or confinement, and abuse which is probably going to add up to mistreatment".
